Hi Jim, just read the article about Tom Morrison the footballer. He was my grandfather too. I have some of his footballing medals (St Mirren and Sunderland). Some of the story came as a surprise as I'd no idea that he'd a wife and child when playing for Gamlingay. This looks like I may have another aunt or uncle that I didn't know about as he also abandoned his wife and two sons up here in Coylton in Scotland where he lived. Who is 'Marilyn' that blogged stating that it was her grandfather?
Hi Marilyn.
Wow! That's amazing! Would love to know more about him. If you would like to share any info you have, I'd be thrilled to hear from you (my email is on most of the pages here). I think the 'L Brown' mentioned is probably my great-uncle Len, so we share ancestors who played together for Gamlingay...
This football player was my Grandfather
